ABOUT MINISTRY WEB DIRECTORY
The Ministry Web Directory is a ministry service of the Greater Portland Alliance. The variety of ministry interests of many thousands of Christians searching for ministries nationwide guided our design team to provide more than just a vacancy listing service. The GPA was founded in 2006 as a non-profit 501c 3 to help link the community of faith with ministry service organizations. Since its founding, the GPA has expanded its capabilities by devoting most of its time to a web linking service which now reaches coast to coast. The MWD provides MINISTRY and MARKETPLACE vacancy information as well as STUDENT FIELD EXPERIENCE opportunities. The MWD is also made up of lists of ministry and marketplace organizations selected by Christian campuses and denominations.

This Web service assists students, alumni, and Christian community. Since only 10%-20% of ministry organizations actually post vacancies, this web service also provides a much broader listing of organizations—and specifically, according to their primary ministry focus. Also, limited local listings do not necessarily service the needs of high capacity leaders seeking to find a ministry organization in which to develop new areas of growth. The Greater Portland Alliance provides this service to assist those who seek to serve in a ministry organization or church, both locally and globally.
